Measure Q Project Updates
The Measure Q Bond was passed in November 2012. The Citizens of Solano County invested in their futures by voting to improve and expand the facilities of the Solano Community College District with the passage of the Measure Q Bond. The projects listed below are the currently active projects and their status.

Solar Energy Site Map (Parking Lots 2 & 4)

Solar Energy - Fairfield Campus Description: This project includes the installation of additional Photovoltaic Arrays (PV’s), a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and more Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. Project goal is to offset current energy consumption of the Fairfield Campus. Budget: $14,000,000 Current Status: This project is being completed via a Design-Build-Operate-Maintain delivery method

On Campus Housing Renderings

On-Campus Housing - Fairfield Campus Description: This project started with needs assessment and feasibility analysis, which have been completed. Based upon results of those, developing the facilities program for an expected multi-phased housing community. Completing a State (SB169) funding grant application for submittal in July 2023. This grant, if awarded, will be used to construct Phase 1 of the housing community – below market rate housing for full-time students who receive specific financial aid. Concurrently, exploring options for possible P3 (Public-Private Partnership) partners for other housing types within the community, which may include housing for students with families/spouses/ dependents, faculty and staff, and active seniors. Building 300 Renovation - Fairfield Campus Description: This project will renovate existing Building 300 focusing on interior refresh, roof replacement, and temperature controls and user comfort. New Modular Building Fabrication

Early Learning Center Expansion - Fairfield Campus Description: This project is an expansion of the Early Learning Center to serve approximately forty (40) children. This requires the addition of a new building at the Early Learning Center location. This project will also include upgrades to the exterior play areas as determined by regulations/code. Substations #3 and #4 Locations

Substations 3 and 4 Replacement (Infrastructure Improvements) - Fairfield Campus Description: This project is to replace and/or modernize the existing aging Substation #3 and Substation #4. Budget: $9,250,000 Current Status: This project is being completed via a Design-Build delivery method.

Existing Pool Deck

Swimming Pool Deck Replacement (Infrastructure Improvements) - Fairfield Campus Description: This project includes the removal and replacement of the existing pool deck and tile surrounding the pool, installation of outdoor showers and new gates, and ADA upgrades. Quad Water Conservation - Fairfield Campus Description: This project consists of a design update to the quad area south of the new Library Learning Resource Center.
